Q and A: Organize Small and Easily Lost Items

Often times, our customers look to us to make suggestions on how to use our items. Whether they need help for a particular situation or just want more information on how to best use a product, we at C-Line are happy to guide them in the right direction! Here is a recent question we received from a customer. Question Hello C-Line Products, I am a teacher at a middle school and as all my students have completed their final exams, the school year has finally ended. However, I am now left with a bunch of study cards, a few junior expanding files and index card holders that I won’t be really using during summer break. I would like to make good use out of the C-Line Junior Size Expanding File for  purposes other than storing index cards or notes. Would you happen to have any other creative ideas on how to organize index cards or use an expanding file for other purposes? Answer First off let me say, thank you for your question! Finding different ways to re-use school supply items are always tricky, fortunately I have a few tricks up my sleeve!  C-Line’s Junior Size 13-Pocket Expanding File are made of durable polypropylene and with its elastic closure, the file ensures that none of your items fall out. To better organize your note cards and to help you find them quickly, you could color coordinate your index cards. The expanding file comes with pre-printed tab inserts that you could simply flip them inside out and color them to your own preference. You can also color the long edge of the index card to match your tab color. If you want to be more adventurous and want more color, feel free to add washi tape on your index cards for them to stand out in the expanding file. The best part is that you can also use this idea, while using the index card holder!

Since it is summer break for you that means more outside activities. After a mini activity, you might want to treat yourself. With its size of 10 inch x 5 inch, it would be perfect to store coupons so you can enjoy the treat with a little savings. You can sort checks and receipts by month as well. The lightweight expanding file is easily portable and with its compact size it can fit into almost all big bags.

Don’t want to store paper, notes or index cards and just want to enjoy your summer by traveling? You can also use the expanding file as a portable travel file. Store your plane ticket, passport and other related small articles all in one place. If you have decorative jewelry, the expanding file would be an economical solution for your jewelry to not get tangled.
